The Montessori Nest (Part of Nido and Casa Montessori)
Do you find joy in helping young children grow in confidence and independence?
We’re looking for a Montessori Trainee Guide or Trained Lead Guide to join our warm, purpose-led team at The Montessori Nest — someone calm, observant, and genuinely passionate about supporting children to learn through exploration and discovery.
Purpose of the Business
At The Montessori Nest, we’re a small family of nursery settings with big ambitions. Our shared mission is to nurture independent, confident, joy-filled learners — and we believe that happens best when the adults around them feel empowered, trusted, and inspired.
Our teams work with genuine autonomy, shaping their environments, influencing family engagement, and designing meaningful learning experiences. We are rooted in empathy, safety, and transparency, working hard while celebrating every milestone along the way.
If you love the idea of joining a supportive, values-led community where your ideas truly make a difference, you’ll feel right at home with us.
Purpose of the Role
This role is at the heart of daily life in our classrooms. As a Guide, you will help create a calm, purposeful space where every child feels safe, curious, and eager to learn.
You will:
Observe closely and introduce activities that spark interest
Support each child to grow in confidence and independence
Provide patient, respectful, and gentle guidance
Maintain a beautiful, organised, and inviting environment
Work closely with colleagues, sharing ideas and supporting one another
Build warm relationships with children and families
If you already hold a Level 2 Early Years qualification, that’s a real advantage. However, we are also happy to train the right person and support you in working towards your Montessori Level 3 qualification.
If you are a trained 0–3 Guide, we will support you with personal development plans. We will provide time, encouragement, and investment in your growth as an educator and valued team member.
Pen Portrait
I love spending time with young children and watching them discover the world in their own way.
I’m patient and observant, and I enjoy understanding what helps each child feel secure, interested, and capable. I take satisfaction in preparing calm, organised spaces that invite curiosity and independence — whether that’s tidying a shelf, setting up materials, or quietly adjusting something to make it just right.
I enjoy working alongside others who share a sense of purpose and care. I communicate with warmth and clarity and thrive in a team where everyone supports one another and celebrates each small success.
I am motivated by meaningful work. Knowing that what I do helps children grow in confidence and joy gives me a deep sense of fulfilment.
Location
The Montessori Nest is a new nursery opening in West Hampstead in March 2026.
Safeguarding
Children and young people should never experience abuse of any kind.
We have a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children and young people, to keep them safe, and to practise in a way that protects them.
All references will be thoroughly checked. We will apply for a DBS Update Service check and a DBS equivalent from any country the applicant has lived in within the last five years prior to the UK.
